A keen observer taught at my parent’s knee, I never lost my fascination with the natural world. As a child I spent endless hours wandering through fields and forests and wading in ponds and streams. I have been a field biologist, interpretive naturalist and park biologist. I have a busy life with my husband, David Francey, but I still feed the birds and roam the woods. Red-winged Blackbird
These are not great photos - taken through the window on New Year's day, but since these birds are significant to David and since we don't usually have any at our feeder at this time of year, I thought I'd add them. Has anyone else had blackbirds at their feeders this winter?
I am happily married to the warm and wonderful singer/songwriter, David Francey. We share many common interests, music, art and photography (as well as the love of three beautiful children)
